Display Area

The Display area (indicated in red) presents different views depending on your selection in the Sources area or Music Guide. (For example, if you select My Library in the Sources area, the contents of My Library will appear. If you select the My Rhapsody tab in the Music Guide, your personalized My Rhapsody page will appear.)

Each view has some unique controls related to its use. Other controls, such as those used in column resizing, are common to all views.

In conjunction with the Sources area, and the Music Guide pages, the Display area helps you manage and search your music collection, CDs, and portable devices.

Display Area View		What Does it Do?
CD: Burn a CD		View and create a music queue to burn to a blank CD. View the burn queue for a blank CD by clicking Burn a CD in the Sources area.
CD: Prerecorded		Display the contents of a prerecorded CD, where you can play or import tracks. View the contents of a prerecorded CD by inserting the CD into your computer, then clicking in the Sources area.
Channel Guide		Rhapsody's Channel Guide offers streaming, commercial-free channels, live internet radio, and custom channels that you create yourself. Access the Channel Guide by clicking the Channel Guide tab in the Music Guide pages.
My Channels		Displays Rhapsody Channels, live radio, and custom channels that you have saved in My Channels. Access My Channels by clicking My Channels in the Sources area.
My Library		My Library displays the music you have added from the Music Guide or your hard drives, and imported from your CD collection. Access My Library by clicking My Library in the Sources area.
My Rhapsody		My Rhapsody is your personalized Rhapsody page. Get customized music recommendations based on the music you love. Access My Rhapsody by clicking the My Rhaposdy tab ( )in the Music Guide pages.
Music Guide		The Rhapsody Music Guide was created to help you discover, listen to, and purchase music. My Rhapsody and Playlist Central are also accessed through the Music Guide view. Access the Music Guide by clicking in the Sources area, or from the Music Guide tab in the Music Guide pages.
Now Playing		View the tracks you have recently played, and tracks you have queued up to play. You can also use Now Playing to create a playlist. Access Now Playing by clicking Now Playing in the Sources area.
Playlist Central		Playlist Central is an online community for Rhapsody subscribers. Find new music, or publish your own playlists. Access Playlist Central by clicking the Playlist Central tabin the Music Guide pages.
Playlists		Displays the contents of a playlist so that you can play or edit it. To view the contents of a playlist, click the playlist name in the Playlists area (below the Sources area). Note: You cannot directly edit an AutoPlaylist ( ). You must right-click the AutoPlaylist name and edit the rules. You cannot edit a Dynamic playlist ( ), as its content is provided by Rhapsody.
Portable Device(s)		View the contents of the selected portable player or device in the portable device view of the Display area. Use this view to transfer tracks, play music, and manage your device. To view the contents of your portable device, connect the device to your computer, and click in the Sources area.
What's New		The What's New page in the Music Guide pages gives you a snapshot of artists, music and video just added to Rhapsody. Access What's New by clicking the What's New tab ( ) in the Music Guide pages.

Tell me more about customizing columns in the Display area.

Each column header displays an associated track property (such as Name, Artist, or Album). You can customize the columns to suit your preferences.

To sort columns:

Click on the column header to sort tracks by that property. Click again to reverse the order of the items in the list.

To resize columns:

Drag the right bar in the column header to the desired width.

To reorder columns:

Drag the column header into the desired display location.
