Playlist Central is an online community; a place to find new music and share the music you love. Listen to, rate, and share playlists published by other Rhapsody users, by celebrities and musicians, or by the Rhapsody editors.
You can publish your own playlists from Now Playing, a Playlist view of the Display area, or publish music directly from My Library.
To visit Playlist Central, click the
Playlist Central
tab at
the top of the Music Guide pages.

Use the following controls and options with playlists in Playlist Central.

Rate: When viewing
a playlist, click any number in the Rating Selector (below the playlist
art) to rate the playlist from 1-5. "1"
indicates a less-favored playlist, and "5" indicates a more
favored playlist. | |

Click Share Playlist to email a link to tthe playlist, or create a RhapLink (link to Rhapsody music, generated by the Share process; a RhapLink can be e-mailed, blogged, posted to a web site, or shared via instant messaging program) to the playlist to post on your web site, blog (web log; online diary or log kept on a web site), or an instant messaging program. | |

Click the playlist's author alias to view all the playlists published by that author. |
You'll find the following features on the Playlist Central home page:
The My Rhapsody list. Click Recently Played to view the playlists you have most recently listened to.
The Browse list. Browse special playlists on My Rhapsody, such as Celebrity Picks and Decade Mixes, or browse by genre (type or category; for example: rock, classical, or rap), such as Rock/Pop or Country.
Featured Playlists: See the center of the Playlist Central home page for Rhapsody's features playlists.
New This Week: Click the tabs to see playlists that were Just Published, Celebrity Playlists, and Editor Playlists.
Dynamic Playlists: Click Go To Dynamic Playlists to visit the Rhapsody Dynamic Playlists (playlist that Rhapsody updates with fresh content each time you sign in to your Rhapsody account) page.
Top Playlists. See and listen to Playlist Central's current top, based on playlist rating and number of views.
Dynamic Playlists are playlists that Rhapsody updates with fresh content each time you sign in to your Rhapsody account. From the Playlist Central Home page, click Go To Dynamic Playlists to visit the Dynamic Playlists page.
Click the name of any playlist to view it.
Click
at the top of any playlist
to add it to Now Playing and begin playback.
Click
at the top of any playlist
to add it to your collection in the Playlists area. You will get new tracks
in your playlist each time you sign in to your Rhapsody account.
Click
next to any individual track
to play it.
Click
next to any individual track
to add it to My Library.

Click the name of any playlist in any Playlist Central view to display the contents of that playlist.
A playlist page in Playlist Central displays each track in that playlist, along with any individual track comments.
Select a number in the rating selector
(beneath the playlist art) to rate the playlist. "1"
indicates a less-favored playlist, and "5" indicates a more
favored playlist.
Click

add it to the Playlists area as part of your collection.

to any individual track to add it to play
it.

to an individual track to add the track to My Library.
Press [CTRL] +
to
add a track to the Now Playing without starting immediate playback.
Click Share playlist (at the top-right of the playlist view) to share it.
Click the playlist's author name (below the Share playlist button) to view other playlists created by that author.
Select a category or genre (such as Single Artist Mixes or Label Spotlights) from the Playlist Central Home page.
Click
on the bottom right of a category
or genre page (if available) to see more playlists in that category.
From the top of the list of playlists, select
Top Ranked or Most
Recent to sort by that property (if available).
Note: Some playlist categories with few entries may not show
the
link or the Sort By options.
Choose your alias carefully. Once you have created one, you cannot change it. (One alias per Rhapsody account.)
You can publish tracks from Now Playing. Select the tracks you want to publish and click Share.
You can publish tracks from My Library. Select Rhapsody tracks and right-click them, then select Share from the right-click menu.
You can publish tracks from the Library Organizer. Right-click on any artist name, album name, or genre type in the Organizer, then select Share to share all the Rhapsody tracks in your Library for that category.
A list of your published playlists can be found in My Rhapsody.
Once you publish a playlist to Playlist Central, you cannot remove it.
