You can share your Rhapsody listening experience with your friends. Post a RhapLink (link to Rhapsody music, generated by the Share process; a RhapLink can be e-mailed, blogged, posted to a web site, or shared via instant messaging program) to music on your web site or blog (web log; online diary or log kept on a web site), email a RhapLink, send a RhapLink by instant messenger, publish playlists to Playlist Central, or share playlists you find there.
You can share any Rhapsody track (a track that has been streamed, downloaded, or purchased from Rhapsody), as well as tracks purchased from RealPlayer. Local (computer resources such as drives or files that are part of a computer, or available on a Local Area Network; music files located on your computer's hard drive(s) are referred to as "local.") tracks (imported CD tracks and files added from your hard drives) are not available for sharing.
Note: You can share music whether you have a free account, or a paid membership.

How does it work? |
|

|
Instant Messenger |
Create a web link to music to send in your instant messaging (IM) program. | |
|
Playlist Central |

|
Blog/Website |
Post a link to music on your blog (web log; online diary or log kept on a web site) or website. |
All Rhapsody tracks (a track that has been streamed, downloaded, or purchased from Rhapsody) and tracks purchased through the Real Music Store (after importing them into Rhapsody) can be shared.
Rhapsody playlists (playlists made entirely from Rhapsody tracks) can be shared.
You can choose a blogging service from the Sharing preferences in the Rhapsody menus.
The first time you publish a playlist to Playlist Central, choose your alias carefully, as that is the name you will publish under. You are allowed one alias per Rhapsody account and you cannot change your alias once you have created it.
View all your published playlists in the My Playlists listing on My Rhapsody.
Once you have posted a playlist to Playlist Central, you cannot remove it.

Note: Recipients of shared music who do not have Rhapsody on their computers will be directed to Rhapsody Online at Rhapsody.com when they attempt to play your playlists. |
