The CD Info feature retrieves, stores, and displays information about the CDs you play with Rhapsody. You can set your CD Importing and Playback Preferences to automatically retrieve CD Info as soon as you insert a CD into your CD drive.

Retrieving CD Info

When you play a commercial CD, Rhapsody can automatically attempt to retrieve CD information (artist(s), track names, album name) by looking at information sources on the internet. To automatically look for CD Info, select Get CD title and track info online in your CD Importing and Playback Preferences. You can also choose to manually retrieve CD Info (see Step-by-Step, below).

If you are offline when you play or Import a CD, Rhapsody will store each CD Info request and attempt to retrieve the information the next time you sign in to your Rhapsody Account. When you're not connected to the internet, information that was previously retrieved will still be available.

Enter and Save CD Info

If Rhapsody does not find the CD Info for a CD you are attempting to Import or play, you can enter it manually using Track Info. Access Track Info by selecting a track in the CD view of the Display Area, then select Edit Track Info from the right-click menu. The next time you play that CD on that computer, the CD Info you entered will be available.

You can also use Edit Track Info to enter CD Info for a custom CD (a CD you have burned) and Track Info in My Library.

Warning: Clicking Restore My Library  will overwrite any CD Info or Track Info you entered following the last time you backed up.
