To open the Equalizer:
Click
in the Rhapsody Controls or select Tools > Equalizer
in the Rhapsody Menus.
Click (or select) again to hide the Equalizer with the current settings in place.
The Equalizer panel allows you to better customize your listening experience by breaking up the standard bass and treble controls into smaller frequency bands of audio output. Each vertical slider controls the signal gain for a specific frequency range.

(Default: Off) Turns your Equalizer on and off; blue is on. Note: In some cases, using the Equalizer will slow down your computer. Turn the Equalizer off to return your computer to its normal speed. | |

Presets: (Default: Custom) A drop-down list with preset custom slider settings (such as Bass Boost, Blues, and Classical). Select a specific preset to adjust the sliders that setting. Set the drop-down list to Custom to apply your own Equalizer settings. | |

Reset: Clears the current setting, returning all sliders to the middle (0 dB) position. | |

The frequency sliders let you adjust the gain (+ or -) for specific frequency ranges, adjusting audio output to your own preferences. (Drag the frequency slider button to adjust the level.) | |

Gain: Increases or decreases the overall gain of the incoming signal before you adjust it with the Equalizer. (Similar to the pre-amp on a stereo system.) |
Note: Some audio (such as MIDI content) will not be affected by the Equalizer.
