Instant Playlist

Select Instant Playlist on the Music Guide home page, or in the Features block of My Rhapsody to have Rhapsody create a unique playlist for you based on the online music that you have played most recently.

Creating an Instant Playlist is a great way to find new music, or to create a quick playlist you can save for later.

Create

To generate an Instant Playlist, go to the Music Guide home page, or to My Rhapsody, and select Instant Playlist in the Features block. A new list is created each time you select Instant Playlist, or after you click the Create a New Playlist button.

Note: Rhapsody cannot create an Instant Playlist for you until you have edited your Genre List at least once. See My Rhapsody for details.

Instant Playlists, once created, are not added to My Library, and none of the tracks will be downloaded, even if you have Download songs to my hard drive... selected in My Library Preferences. To add an Instant Playlist to My Library, drag the Instant Playlist from My Playlists ( ) to My Library (    ) in the Source List. If you have Download songs to my hard drive... selected, available tracks will begin downloading at this time.

Note: You must have the appropriate subscription to add streamed and downloaded subscription tracks to My Library.

Play

To play your Instant Playlist, click Play All at the top of the list. The list is added to the track queue in the Play view of the Mixer, and starts playing.
 

If you have Clicking the Play button: Adds song to Mixer selected in your General Preferences, the songs will be queued without beginning immediate playback. (Default is Clicking the Play button: Plays song immediately.)

You can also press and hold [CTRL] on your keyboard and click to add the tracks to the bottom of the Play queue without starting immediate playback.

You can choose to play any individual track from your list by clicking the Play button ( ) next to that track.

Save

To save your Instant Playlist, click Add All at the top of the list. A copy will be added to your playlists in the Source List.
 

After you have saved an Instant Playlist, it becomes a normal playlist and it can be shared, published to Playlist Central , renamed, edited or deleted at any time.
 

To add individual tracks from your Instant Playlist to My LIbrary, click Add ( ) next to the track you wish to save.

Create New

Click Create a New Playlist at the top of the Instant Playlist page to generate a new Instant Playlist. This will replace the previous Instant Playlist, so be sure that you save it first if you wish to.
 

Create as many Instant Playlists as you wish; there is no limit.
