File Menu

Use the File menu to create new playlists, open music files on the internet, find music files on your computer and add them to My Library, change your user account, log out from Rhapsody, and close your Rhapsody program.

Description

New Playlist

Opens a "Name New Playlist" dialog. Enter a name and click OK to create a new, empty playlist and add it to the Source List. You can add tracks to it any time.

Play Song from Disk...

Use to open and play a Rhapsody-compatible file. Select Play Song from Disk... to bring up a browser window. Find the file you wish to open, and double-click it to play it using Rhapsody.

Import Music to My Library...

Opens the "Import Music to My Library" dialog. Click OK to search for media files in the default music folder on your computer. Imports files into My Library as local tracks.

Select any of the following options in the "Import Music to My Library" dialog to modify the import scan:

Browse... (Default: My Music)

Opens a "Browse for Folder" dialog. Browse for and select the folder that you want to scan. Click OK to close the dialog. Click OK in the "Import Music to My Library" dialog to begin importing files.

 

Include all subfolders.  (Default: On)

Select to include all subfolders of the designated folder in the scan.

Include previously deleted clips (Default: On)

Imports tracks that were previously deleted from My Library (unless you deleted the file from your hard drive. See Tools > Preferences: My Library for deletion options.)

Ignore Windows system folders (Default: On)

Excludes Windows system folders from the scan.

Skip tracks less than xx seconds (Default: On)

(Default:10 seconds) Excludes short tracks in the import scan.

Sign In / Sign Out or Change User

Signs you in or out of your account on the Rhapsody Service, but leaves the Rhapsody player open to play CDs, your downloaded and purchased Rhapsody tracks, and your local music files.

If you have more than one Rhapsody user on your computer, you can use Sign Out or Change User to switch users.

Exit

Signs you out of your Rhapsody account and closes Rhapsody and all associated windows.
