The Rhapsody player comes with a free limited version of the Rhapsody Service, called Rhapsody 25. No credit card required - enter a valid e-mail address and create a password to activate your account.
Explore and use Rhapsody for free; there are plenty of great features you can use. Once you see what else we have to offer, we think you'll discover why so many people have subscribed to a higher level of service.
Rhapsody 25 provides the following free features and services.
The Music Guide has over one million tracks for you to explore and listen to. Rhapsody 25 gives you 25 free streams a month. You can play one song 25 times, 25 different songs one time each, or any combination. Look in the Album Information area in the upper right of the Rhapsody Player to see how many streams you have left for the current month.
The Play
button 
in the Music Guide will return to 
(30-second
samples) once you have listened to all of your free streams for any given
month, until the next month's cycle begins.
Note: Unused
track plays do not transfer over to the next month.
Use the Music
Guide as your personal music store. Click 
to purchase a song and add it to My Library. Listen to it all you
want, burn
it to CD, or transfer it to a portable
player or device.

Use My Library to store and organize all the local music on your computer. (Local tracks include music purchased from Rhapsody, Imported from CD, or downloaded from the internet and imported to My Library.) You can play your local music with the Rhapsody Player, whether you are signed in or not.
Collect
more with a paid subscription.
Share unlimited music from the Music Guide. E-mail playlists to your friends, publish playlists to Playlist Central (see below), or post a track or playlist link on your blog.

Everyone can play, create, and publish playlists to Playlist Central, an online Rhapsody community.
My Rhapsody is a central place to get personalized recommendations from the Rhapsody editors (after entering your favorite genres), quick access to favorite Rhapsody Radio stations, a personal "chart" of artists you've played recently, a list of the playlists you've published on Playlist Central, personalized Artist Alerts, new releases, and more.

Enjoy free streamed Rhapsody Radio of many types. Listening to Radio does not count against your monthly stream credit.

Use the Rhapsody player to listen to CDs, Import (rip) the tracks from CDs into My Library, and burn your own custom CDs.
Use Rhapsody to transfer the music you own from My Library to your portable player or device and take your music with you, including your playlists.
