Convert Media Format Dialog

The Convert Media Format command is in the Tools menu and is available when a clip(s) is selected in My Library. The following dialogs, drop-down menus and options are used when manually converting media:

Description

Clip Name

Display and/or edit clip name of new file. (Not available when converting multiple files.)

Format

Select file format for the new file(s) from the drop-down list.

Quality

Select the file quality (bit-rate) for the new file(s) from the drop-down list.

VBR

Select VBR formatting. (Available with MP3 file format only.)

Additional Options

Clip Info

Choose whether to add the existing Clip Info from the original clip(s) to the new clip(s).

Erase the current clip...

After a media file has been converted, the original file and clip are deleted.

Create a new playlist...

After files have been converted, a new playlist is created and the new clips added to it.

Name of your new playlist

Playlist name for the above option.

Note: New media files are saved in the default My Library Files location set in Tools > Preferences > General.
