CD-Quality MP3 Files

To be able to save files as high bit-rate (320 Kbps) MP3 files (near CD quality), you need to have RealPlayer Plus or be signed in as a Real Services Member. Either way will allow you to download this plug-in for your Player. If you do not already have the plug-in, go to Tools > Preferences > CD , select MP3 Audio as the format, then click the CD-Quality MP3 encoding link at the bottom of the CD Preferences page.

When installed, MP3 files can be created (Saving CDs to My Library or Converting Media Formats) at rates between 128 Kbps and 320 Kbps.

Note: Producing high bit-rate RealAudio formatted files is a standard RealPlayer feature and is available immediately when you install RealPlayer.
