Message Center

The Real Message Service provides information about current or upcoming events for a variety of categories. You can select categories you wish to receive messages about, and the messages appear in the Message panel.

Click Message Center Icon (Message Center icon) on your RealPlayer Menu bar at the top of your Player to open the Message Center.

To change Message Center Preferences, including the option to disable checking for new messages or to check only when RealPlayer is running, go to Tools > Preferences > Automatic Services > Message Center.

Note: When new messages arrive, the Message Center icon in the system tray will blink 2-3 times. You can also configure the Message Center to play a sound when a new message arrives.

Message Options

Click to open the Message Center Options menu. Use this menu to check for new messages, open or close the headlines panel, change your delivery preferences, and personalize your message subscriptions.

Windows Controls

Controls to minimize or close the Message Center window.

Hide Headlines

Click to show the list of current message headlines.

View Previous/Next Message

Click the left and right arrows to scan the messages.

Delete Message

Click to delete the current message.

Click to check with the Real Message Service for new messages.
