Remember to connect to the Internet before beginning this procedure.

1. From the Menu bar, select View >  Burn/Transfer. If necessary, select Burn/Transfer Home from the Current Burner/Device drop-down list.

2. Click Add a New Device in the sidebar. This will open a Web page with Portable Players listed on it.

3. Select a device plug-in from the list and click Install the device... to complete installation.
    

A component of the RealPlayer that extends its ability. (For example: MIDI, or MP3)

In rare cases, a portable device plug-in can cause problems in RealPlayer. If you think the device is an issue, you can disable it in the Devices section of your Preferences by following the steps below:

(Note: When a device is disabled it is not deleted from the computer, but it is  disconnected from the player.)

1. Select Tools > Preferences in your RealPlayer menu bar.

2. Select the Devices Category.

3. In the Installed Devices list, select the device or plug-in you want to enable or disable.

4. Click Enable Device to activate the device.
   Click Disable Device to deactivate the device.
