Common Tasks

Common Tasks are listed in the Tasks area of the sidebar. The tasks that appear will depend on what appears or is selected in the Browser. Some of the available tasks are listed below:

Description

Play All

Copies the contents of the currently displayed clip category into the Now Playing list and starts playback.

Play Selected

Copies the selected clip(s) into the Now Playing list and starts playback.

Edit Clip Info

Opens the "Edit Clip Info" dialog (Available only when clips are selected).

Copy To Playlist

Opens a list of available playlists. Click a playlist to copy the currently selected clips into the playlist. The modified playlist appears in the Browser. (Select Add New Playlist to create a new playlist with the selected clips.)

New Playlist

Opens New Playlist Wizard. Created playlists are added to the Playlists category in My Library. (See Create a Playlist for details.)

New AutoPlaylist

Opens New AutoPlaylist Wizard. Created AutoPlaylist is added to the AutoPlaylist category in My Library. (See Create an AutoPlaylist for details.)

Scan Disk For Media

Opens the "Scan Disk For Media" dialog. Select the local drives, folders, and subfolders to search. (See Import Wizard for details.)

Library Preferences

Opens the Tools > Preferences... > My Library preference page. Configure My Library as you like it.

CD Burner

View...

Opens the CD Burner page. Does not add any clips to the Burner queue.

Add Selected Clips

Opens the CD Burner page. Adds selected clips to the Burner queue.

Add All Clips

Opens the CD Burner page. Adds all clips in the display area to the Burner queue.
