Preferences: Automatic Services: Message Center

Use these preferences to customize the content and behavior of your Message Center.

Description

Select Message Topics...

Click to open the Message Center and access the Customize Your Message Center page. Next, browse the categories and select the topics you want to receive messages about. Click Save Changes to activate your selections.

Configure Message Center...

Click to open the "Message Center Preferences" dialog with the following options:

Check for new messages

Select to let RealPlayer check for messages. Clear to turn off the Message Center.

(Default: Once or twice a week) From the drop-down menu, select how often to check.

Check only when running

(Default: Off) When selected, the Message Center software will check for messages only when RealPlayer is running.

Notification

Select how new messages should be announced and whether to add the Message Center to your Windows system tray for quick access.
